The inspiration behind this downloadable fireplace screensaver

I have been filming my own, and friend's fireplaces for years. It all began when I got my first camcorder and wanted to set the mood at a dinner party. The effect was a warming ambience which all of the guests commented on. Over the years my cameras have improved, as have my little network of people I know with a real log fire in their home.

The Close Up Fireplace was created out of an experiment. I wanted to enhance the feeling that is generated by having one of these on the TV screen. For me winter time wouldn't be the same without a fireplace screensaver on and I wanted to see just how cozy I could make a room by filming closer. I could never do this before because my old camera would of melted in the heat.

My new camera is more robust so I gave it a try at around a foot away from the flames, it also has a powerful zoom lens to get right into the action. The end result is perhaps the most effective video yet. I have had it on every night for hours and can't see myself switching to another screensaver anytime soon. I am actually looking forward to winter this year so that I can really appreciate the warming effect. Video and Screensaver Information:

• Full HD MP4 videos are approx. 20 minute 1080p footage suitable for all TV screens. Approx. 500 MB to 1.3 GB download. We use the H.264 codec which allows us to compress the files to a manageable download size, whilst maintaining excellent quality.
• 4K Ultra HD MP4 videos are around 1.2-1.6 GB for UHD televisions. We have encoded these videos in the superior H.265 (HEVC) codec, which means faster download speeds due to more efficient compression.
• The computer screensavers are self looping 3 minute versions in Full HD for Windows and Mac PCs and laptops (approx. 100 MB to 230 MB). The 4K Ultra HD screensavers are also 3 minutes and loop automatically (approx. 200 MB to 350 MB) NOTE: Our Mac screensavers only work with older versions of Apple Mac OS. If you have updated to the latest version of Mojave our screensavers will no longer work.

Some of the MP4 videos are looped to make up the 20 minutes.
