What does Uscenes sell?

Uscenes creates high-quality ambient videos designed to be played and looped on TVs and digital displays. Popular collections include aquariums, underwater scenes and other relaxing environments.

All products are digital downloads. We do not sell DVDs, Blu-rays or CDs.

Our footage is filmed by Uscenes, giving you high-quality original content without the licensing complications associated with using third-party videos.

What video formats and resolutions are available?

All products sold alone are provided as MP4 video downloads in:

  • 4K UHD (Ultra HD)

  • 1080p Full HD

Each product includes both resolutions so that they are compatible with all SMART TVs. The full collection of ambient videos currently includes around 100 videos in 4K and around 50 in Full HD.

Our 4K videos use the H.265 (HEVC) codec for efficient compression while maintaining high image quality. 1080p HD videos use H.264.

How large are the video files?

Typical download sizes are:

4K: approximately 1.2–1.6 GB per video
1080p HD: approximately 500 MB–1.2 GB per video

File sizes vary depending on the video and duration.

Can I try a video before buying?

Yes. Free sample clips are available so you can test compatibility with your TV or display before purchasing.

A quicker solution is to watch the preview clips on the product page and turn your TV on, then select the Cast or Airplay button to see it on the big screen.

This is particularly useful if you are unsure whether your equipment supports 4K, H.265/HEVC or the MP4 format. Just send us a message if you are unsure about anything.

How do I play Uscenes videos on my TV?

The simplest method is to copy the downloaded MP4 file to any USB drive and connect it to your TV. Open the TV's built-in media player, select the video and choose the Repeat or Loop option.

You can also play the videos through compatible media streaming devices, media servers and other digital signage systems.

Can Uscenes videos be used on digital signage?

Yes. Uscenes videos can be used with compatible digital signage systems and media players.

For public or commercial use, you will need the appropriate Uscenes license. For single locations with up to 300 footfall per day, your license is included. See our ambient video licensing information for details.

How do I make a video play continuously?

Use the Repeat or Loop function in your TV, media player or digital signage system.

Most modern playback systems support continuous looping. Our videos are unique because we do not move the camera to support the digital windows concept, with a smooth loop.

Are the videos free from logos and branding?

Yes. Uscenes downloads contain no branding or logo images, and there is no introductory screen. They are designed to loop as seamlessly as possible.

How do I download my purchases?

After payment, your download links are displayed and also sent to you by email. Your previous purchases remain available through your account.

For large files, we recommend downloading one video at a time using a stable internet connection.

What happens if my download link expires?

Your purchases remain available through your account indefinitely.

If an emailed download link has expired, contact us and we can generate a new link.

Can I use Uscenes videos on my own devices?

Yes. The videos are the standard format so they play on all phones, tablets, TVs, projectors and other digital displays.

Can I watch the videos on a phone or tablet?

All Uscenes videos can be played on mobile devices.

Can I copy the videos to a USB drive?

Yes. Copying a video to a USB drive is one of the easiest ways to play it on a compatible TV.

If your USB drive is formatted as FAT32, it cannot store individual files larger than 4GB. This is occasionally an issue for the 2 hour videos on old USB sticks. Its a quick 30 second fix to reformat the drive in another format like exFat.

Can I copy a Uscenes video to a DVD?

Personal-use copies are permitted under the applicable terms, although MP4 files are not directly formatted for DVD playback and conversion will reduce the video quality. 

Can I buy longer versions of the videos?

Yes. Some longer versions are available and we are extending more at the moment. It's not neccesary for fireplaces and scenery unless you are unlucky with a TV that pauses for a moment at the loop point.

How can I pay?

You can pay securely by debit or credit card through Shopify Payments or via PayPal. Larger clients who need bespoke pricing can pay via bank transfer too.

Are Uscenes downloads safe?

Yes. Uscenes has operated since 2013 without any data or security breach.

Downloads are stored using Cloudflare R2 infrastructure, which is compliant with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II security standards.

Can I use Uscenes videos in a business?

Yes, get in touch for broadcast, IFE (in flight entertainment), app use and other large scale cases. Otherwise you are welcome to buy through the pages on this site for use cases such as waiting rooms, offices and other single location situations.

Are Uscenes videos copyrighted?

Yes. All Uscenes downloads are protected by copyright.

You cannot resell or redistribute the videos. Commercial and public use requires the appropriate license.

Uscenes was established in July 2013 and has been creating and selling ambient video content for more than 12 years.
