Turn any TV into a beautiful 4K virtual fireplace by looping a video of a real fire. It's the easiest home upgrade there is: no chimney, no smoke, no risk — just cozy flames and crackling sounds on the screen you already own. Here's exactly how to do it.
What You Need
Two things. First, a TV — ideally a large 4K SMART TV, though our videos work on all modern sets from Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic, TCL, Hisense and every other brand. Older non-smart TVs work too with a cheap external media player. Second, a fireplace video: a real log fire filmed on a tripod in high quality, so the loop point is barely noticeable.
How to Put a Fireplace on Your TV
- Download a fireplace video — our 4K Fireplace Video is the flagship, or browse the full fireplace collection.
- Copy the MP4 file to any USB flash drive.
- Plug the USB into your TV and press play in the built-in media player.
- Select Repeat to loop the fire continuously, all evening or all day.
That's it — 99% of modern TVs play our MP4 files natively. If you have a 4K TV choose the 4K version; for an HD TV, the Full HD version. Any trouble, see our FAQ or contact us and we'll walk you through it.
Download or Streaming?
Streaming a fireplace works, but it depends on your internet connection, usually can't loop cleanly, and often interrupts the mood with ads. A downloaded video is yours permanently: it loops seamlessly, plays in full quality every time, and never shows an ad. One purchase — no subscription.
Film Your Own?
You could film a friend's fireplace on your phone — just use a tripod, or the loop will jump. But a professionally filmed fire in 4K with 5.1 surround sound crackling audio is what makes guests do a double take. Our fireplace videos are 100% real fires, filmed with the camera locked off so the loop is nearly invisible.
Try a free sample clip first to test the USB method on your TV, then pick your fire and enjoy a cozy winter.
