This widescreen aquarium video and screen saver was shot wider for a cinematic effect. The black bars across the top and bottom of the video allow for a wider angle which makes this a rather unique download option. There is something very calming about this video; the colourful marine fish swim along peacefully and the coral shimmers with reflections from the top of the aquarium.

This is the same tank which was filmed in the recent Finding Nemo Screensaver. This time the focus is not on the clownfish, instead you get a wide angle shot featuring more of the beautiful live corals. As always, when you buy this download you will receive a 20 minute MP4 video which you can loop on your TV screens, plus a screensaver for your computers and laptops. The screensaver comes in both Windows and OSX (Mac) versions.

Our First Widescreen Aquarium Video Screensaver

Widescreen Marine is our second time filming this beautiful underwater eco system. To fit more in we opted to shoot this one in the widescreen format. The reason for this was simple, I wanted to include as much as possible. The end product is a download which has a more cinematic feel.

This marine aquarium has an open rear, there is actually a window to another room at the back. So I blocked this off with sheeting. This does create a reflection from the rear of the tank, which I thought may be a problem at first. Now that I have viewed the video a number of times, I think it actually gives the appearance that there is more going on in the background. This reflection is also the reason why the camera angle is slightly to one side. I had to do this to avoid getting a reflection of the camera in shot.

I am a big fan of this tank because of the attractive choices of fish species, plus the fact that it features real, live coral. It is not a simple task to balance such an underwater eco system and I was surprised at just how much filtration equipment is stored underneath the tank. When I learned about the steps required to keep the fish and coral living in harmony, I was glad that we can get to enjoy the tank through the video screensaver, rather than actually owning it. There really is a lot of work and expense involved in maintaining such a tank, so buying a $7 video instead makes great sense.

For fans of Finding Nemo you will spot some of the same species in this aquarium. There is a Yellow Tang, Blue Tang, Moorish Idol and of course Clownfish. They are all complimented by the neon lighting and shimmering reflections. The 1080p HD quality combines with all of this to make a great video screensaver for any TV or computer screen.

Video and Screensaver Information:

• Full HD MP4 videos are approx. 20 minute 1080p footage suitable for all TV screens. Approx. 500 MB to 1.3 GB download. We use the H.264 codec which allows us to compress the files to a manageable download size, whilst maintaining excellent quality.
• 4K Ultra HD MP4 videos are around 1.2-1.6 GB for UHD televisions. We have encoded these videos in the superior H.265 (HEVC) codec, which means faster download speeds. 
• The computer screensavers are self looping 3 minute versions in Full HD for Windows and Mac PCs and laptops (approx. 100 MB to 230 MB).  The 4K Ultra HD screensavers are also 3 minutes and loop automatically (approx. 200 MB to 350 MB) . 

Some of the MP4 videos are looped to make up the 20 minutes.
