  • Switch on Your Samsung TV.

  • Use the directional buttons to find and select “Ambient Mode”.
  • This will give you options to change the screensaver on your Samsung TV.

How to put a VIDEO screen saver on my Samsung TV?

  • Download a loopable video from this website Uscenes.com . Next, locate the MP4 video file in the Downloads folder of your PC (or Android device or iPhone). All Samsung phones and tablets can be used too.
  • Copy the video file to a USB flash drive. We like the small Samsung USB sticks, such as the ones in the photo above. But any USB memory stick or external hard drive will work.
  • Plug the USB thumb drive into your TV. Samsung’s own USB sticks are extremely well reviewed and priced. It is under 10 bucks for the smallest ones and they go up to massive capacities such as 265GB. Easiest place to buy is on Amazon.
  • Select the Home button on your remote control and then select “Devices” (sometimes called Source).
  • Click on USB and then select the video file to begin playing.
  • Finally, select Repeat to have the video loop – giving you a manual Samsung TV screensaver.

Screen savers with Uscenes (ambient videos): change screensaver on Samsung TV.

What is the best screensaver for my Samsung SMART TV?

You can use any video you like, such as a beach you filmed on your phone on holiday. Possibly the best TV screensavers are filmed by Uscenes. We create static scenes where the camera doesn’t move. This means when the video repeats (loops), the playback is seamless.

Transform the black panel of a switched off screen into something special. The idea of ambient videos is to improve the atmosphere with natural calming sounds and subtle visuals. Using our ambient scenes (filmed with our camera on a tripod) gives you three options for your Samsung TV, when it’s not in use:

  1. Turn your TV into a fish tank with one of our aquarium screensavers.
  2. Save money and be safe by making your TV a “virtual fireplace” with one of our fireplace screensavers. Hot right now!
  3. Transform your Samsung TV into a nature window with one of our scenery screensavers.

Think of them as background videos, to glance at occasionally. Great for encouraging conversation and reading instead of watching trash TV. The audio on our videos is relaxing and all 100 4K ambient scenes have surround sound.

Your Samsung TV screen saver settings:

How to turn the screen saver on your SMART TV on or off:

  1. Press the Home button on your remote control.
  2. Navigate to and select Settings (the gear icon).
  3. Go to General or General & Privacy.
  4. Select Power and Energy Saving.
  5. Highlight Screen Saver and press OK or the selection button to turn it on or off. The option will be enabled if the toggle is blue and disabled if it is gray.

Samsung OLED Setting To Prevent Burn-on:

On Samsung OLED TVs, the screen saver is enabled by default to prevent burn-in and cannot be disabled. For this reason you should avoid videos with very bright parts that do not move. That is what may harm an OLED screen. Image retention or burn-in could be caused by static elements. Samsung’s own options are safe. When using other videos this is something to keep an eye on.

Avoiding Burn-in with Uscenes ambient videos:

With Uscenes videos, the only ones to avoid looping on OLED Samsungs are two fireplaces. The heart of the flame can be overblown (bright white). They move but if that bright light is in the same spot for the video you should skip playing it on loop.

This applies to The Arty Fireplace and The Funky TV Fireplace. They are safe on any other screens including QLED. You can still watch them on your Samsung OLED TV, but only as part of a playlist. This opens a new possibility:

Looping Multiple Videos for Multi-Screensavers on a Samsung TV:

This is a great way to make use of a massive library of content like our full collection of 150 ambient videos. At Christmas, Thanksgiving and throughout winter you may want to put all the fireplace videos in a folder on your USB stick.

Plug and play as usual. But this time instead of selecting Repeat, select Repeat All. Each video plays for 20 minutes and then moves onto the next. Perfect for choosing your favorites without any effort. Safe for all TVs.

If you want to watch any videos like the 2 example above, just keep the brightness turned down. It is like looking at a bright candle. If you stare directly at it you eyes will hurt. But if you squint or hold a tissue in front you can see a darker image and safely watch for as long as you like.

The best option is an aquarium like Coral Garden by Uscenes

Our aquariums make a great alternative to the expense and hassle of owning a real tropical fish tank. Believe us, we learned the hard way by creating a big fish tank themed after Finding Nemo (the one in the image above).

The bestselling 4K aquarium is called Coral Garden and you can see the promo clip below. All downloads from our website are free from any branding or promo text.

The original release of Coral Garden had the audio from the tank’s pump. We improved the sound to make it more relaxing as ou will hear in the video above. The original remains on YouTube. It has had over 7.5 million views, being one of the the most popular 4K aqairum videos.

We have filmed many more beautiful aquariums, cozy fireplaces and nature scenes here and on our YouTube preview channel. Check them out today to see what you can achieve with your Samsung TV.

Two more aquariums you will definitely enjoy on your Samsung TV:

We recommend The Ocean Tank which is a giant ocean aquarium screensaver (with sharks and manta rays). This is the free demo clip. Plus Jellyfish Aquarium, a jellyfish TV screensaver as seen on a major TV network CBS. You can browse our categories above for more than underwater footage.

As seen on Universal Television’s Pure Genius – a CBS TV show.
